Fawn
Built in 1883 in Guernsey
The three photos below demonstrate her iterations over the years:
1- racing at the Grand Havre regatta with original spritsail rig. (photo circa 1915)
2- converted to a fishing vessel. (photo circa 80s)
3- converted again to a gaff-rig by current owner who has had her for over 40 years and has commissioned her restoration. (photo circa 1999)
She had been laid up for 25 years and vegetation growth made for a tricky extraction to the workshop.
Right > in the workshop braced and ready for a new centreline. Note lumps of oak.
