Rumoured to have been found drifting off the Port Grat area during the First World War, with her rig up but mysteriously abandoned.

She was thought to be French as no one recognised her as a Guernsey boat. Sport was eventually taken on by Tim Lajoie and his brother, who brought her back into use as a fishing boat out of town.

In 1940, after a morning fishing at the Point, they were motoring through the pier heads of St Peter Port Harbour at the very moment the harbour was bombed. They quickly moored the boat and ran for shelter in the Market building.

Following the war years, Sport was moored at Saints Bay and passed through several owners before eventually returning to Port Grat and Les Vardes Farm.
